Thank you for being a part of the Jewish Community Football League. With your assistance, we hope to have an enjoyable, competitive, and succesful league. The following are some important items you should be aware of (some of which appear in the league rules):
- All league related updates will be posted to this site. To determine whether a game is cancelled for a particular week (i.e. due to inclement weather), please check the site home page. If there is no message indicating a cancellation, assume your game is on.
- Please review the league rules which can be accessed from the "Rules/Forms" section of the site. As a player, you are expected to be familiar with all of the league rules. Lack of knowledge will not be an excuse during league play.
- Each team will play one game each Sunday during the regular season. Following the regular season, the 6 teams with the best records (process for addressing tied records are discussed in the rules) will be eligible for the postseason.
- Your game will begin at 9:30 AM sharp. Both teams are expected to be at the assigned field on time.
- All games will be played at Pikesville Middle. Please review the "Fields/Directions" section of the site for directions to the fields.
- Every game will be refereed by two officials. One referee will focus on the offensive/defensive line. The other referee will focus on the rest of the field. Please respect the referees judgment and calls. All referees have the jurisdiction to penalize or remove a player from a game if necessary. For any game occurrences which are not detailed in the "rules," the referees will use their discretion to determine the appropriate ruling.
Thanks in advance for your cooperation and participation. I look forward to seeing you in the league!
